Benefix is a coagulation factor launched by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in 1997. Benefix has been approved by the FDA for control and prevention of hemorrhagic episodes in patients with hemophilia B. Benefix is administered through injection.
ReFacto is a recombinant factor launched by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in 2000. ReFacto has been approved by the FDA for control and prevention of bleeding episodes and surgical prophylaxis in patients with hemophilia A . ReFacto is administered through injection.
Eligibility:
Benefix Patient Assistance Program, a patient assistance program provided by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, offers Benefixand ReFacto at no cost for up to 90 days to those who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based off of the following requirements:
- You must not be covered by private or public health insurance.
- Your annual income must be no greater than $25,000 if single, but no greater than $40,000 for your entire household.
The medication must be sent to the physicians office.
