Summary

OCuSOFT was established in 1986, alongside itsâ€™ sister company CYNACON. CYNACON began as a research and development firm, while OCuSOFT began as a company which marketed over the counter ophthalmic drugs. Seven years later, the two companies merged to become CYNACON/OCuSOFT, and quickly became the leader in the field of development, as well as the commercial exploitation of their products. Staying true to their humble beginnings, the company started out focusing on products concerning dry eyes and treating blepharitis, and focuses very heavily on keeping costs low.

Tears Again Hydrate Soft Gels is an eye drop launched by OCuSOFT in 2002. Tears Again Hydrate Soft Gels has been approved by the FDA to treat dry eyes. Tears Again Hydrate Soft Gels is administered via a dropper directly on to the eyeball itself..

Alodox is a a drug most commonly used to prevent malaria, launched by OCuSOFT in 2001. Alodox has been approved by the FDA to treat bacterial infections. Alodox is administered orally via a tablet.

Eligibility

OCuSOFT Assistance Program, a patient assistance program provided by OCuSOFT, offers a three month supply of Alodox and Tears Again Hydrate Soft Gels at no cost to those who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based off of the following requirements:

- You must meet an undisclosed income guideline.

- You must meet an undisclosed insurance guideline.

- You may be eligible for rebate coupons, up to $25 for Alodox, and $15 for Tears Again Hydrate Soft Gels

The medication must be sent to the physicians office.

Those eligible for Medicare Part D but not enrolled may still be eligible.
