Summary
Bristol, Tennessee’s King Pharmaceuticals produces drugs for heart attack prevention, hypothyroidism, sleeping issues, diabetics, and those in need of muscle relaxers. Most popular for its’ acquisition of the congestive heart failure drug Altace in 1998, the company used those profits to reinvest in three other drugs two years later in 2002. This propelled the company in to the vanguard of the pharmaceutical industry, where they then acquired a research and development company, as well as a company that makes auto-injectors.

Eligibility
KingKare Patient Assistance Program is a patient assistance program provided by King Pharmaceuticals offers (see list at right) at no cost to those who are eligible for the program. Up to three months worth of the dug is sent to the doctor’s office. Eligibility is based off of the following requirements:
- You must not be covered by any private, public, or Medicare Part D prescription coverage programs.
- Your income must be less than or equal to 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline for the size of your household (see chart below).
- You must be a citizen of the United States or its Territories.
The medication must be sent to the physicians office.
Those eligible for Medicare Part D but not enrolled may still be eligible.
