Summary

JDS Pharmaceuticals was acquired by Noven Pharmaceuticals in August of 2007, and has continued on under the Noven Pharmaceuticals name. Since them, Noven Pharmaceuticals has been the leader in developing prescription, as well as non prescription skin-patch delivery methods for drugs. With myriad products in the marketplace, Noven has designed the first ever patch approved to treat ADHD. With developmental products also in the psychiatry and womenâ€™s health field, Noven also crafted the most prescribed estrogen patch in the United States.

Lithobid is an extended release drug intended to treat the manic episodes that accompany bipolar disorder, and was launched by JDS Pharmaceuticals in 1996. Lithobid has been approved by the FDA to treat bipolar disorder. Lithobid is administered orally, and patients must apply for refills once a year.

Pexeva is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor launched by JDS Pharmaceuticals in 2003. Pexeva has been approved by the FDA to treat obsessive compulsive disorder and manic depression. Pevexa is administered orally.

Eligibility

JDS Pharmaceutical Patient Assistance Program a patient assistance program provided by Noven Pharmaceuticals offers Lithobid and Pexeva at no cost to those who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based off of the following requirements:

- Your income must be less than or equal to 150% of the Federal Poverty Guideline for the size of your household (see chart below).

- You must not be covered by private or public health insurance.

- You must be a citizen of the United States or its Territories.

The medication must be sent to the physicians office.

Those eligible for Medicare Part D but not enrolled may still be eligible.
