Vantas is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone launched by Indevus Pharmaceuticals in October of 2004. Vantas has been approved by the FDA to help relieve the symptoms of prostate cancer. Vantas is administered subcutaneously in implant form. Patients receive one implant which releases the hormone in to the patients body for twelve months.

Eligibility

Vantas Patient Assistance Program, a patient assistance program provided by Indevus Pharmaceuticals, offers Vantas at no cost to those who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based off of the following requirements:

- You must not be covered by private or public health insurance.

-You must meet an undisclosed income guideline.

The medication must be sent to the physicians office.

Those eligible for Medicare Part D but not enrolled may still be eligible.
