Ferndale Laboratories, Inc. was founded in 1897, Detroit, Michigan, as J.F. Hartz Company before changing the name in the mid 1950s. As J.F. Hartz Company, they began their career selling vitamins, tonics, elixirs, and surgical instruments. Over the 100+ years that they have been in business, Ferndale Laboratories, Inc. has formed into a major pharmaceutical company that focuses specifically in the development of prescription medications for acne, dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, and inflammation. On their non-prescription side, the company has also developed products such as topical pain relief creams, surgical adhesives and removers, and decongestants.

Eligibility

Ferndale Laboratories Patient Assistance Program, a patient assistance program provided by Ferndale Laboratories, Inc., offers the medications listed to the right at no cost for up to 6 months to those who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based off of the following requirements:

- You must not be covered by any private, public, or Medicare Part D prescription coverage programs.

- Your income must be less than or equal to the Federal Poverty Guideline for the size of your household (see chart below).
