Cubist Pharmaceuticals was founded in 1992 in Lexington, Massachusetts. They are a pharmaceutical company whose products provide anti-infective and antibiotic treatments and therapies. Having been in business for just over 15 years, Cubist Pharmaceuticals has decided to focus the marketing of their products specifically on the United States. Cubist Pharmaceuticals main product is Cubicin, a lipopeptide anti-inective. They have also had the chance to work in collaboration with Ilypsa, Inc. to develop a non-antibiotic, toxin binder therapy to treat clostridium difficile.

Cubicin is a cyclic lipopeptide antibacterial agent launched by Cubist Pharmaceuticals in 2003. Cubicin has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of complicated skin and skin structure infections. Cubicin is administered through injection.

Eligibility

Cubicin Reimbursement Hotline, a patient assistance program provided by Cubist Pharmaceuticals, offers Cubicin at no cost to those who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based off of the following requirements:

- You must meet an undisclosed income and insurance guideline.

- You must have already received the medication, as this is a hospital replacement program.

The medication must be sent to the physicians office.
