If you like to help people and animals then you would probably enjoy a career in the health care industry. Who works in the health care industry? Doctors listen, examine, conduct tests on people and use science to help figure out what is making a person sick. Many people choose to work in a special area of health care. There will always be a need for great medical professionals and if you want to be a doctor or nurse you can start preparing now.

Your first goal is to study and try your hardest to keep good grades in school no matter what grade you are in now. As you get older you should start reading on the many career options available so you can start to focus on the things you will need to do to get there. In high school you may want to observe other health care professionals on the job or do some volunteer work in a healthcare setting such as a hospital. After high school you will need to continue your education according to the area you intend to focus on. For instance, if you want to become a registered nurse, you will need to enroll in nursing school.
