This medication is used to treat fungal infections of the mouth, tongue or throat. Additionally, this medicine is used to prevent these same infections in patients undergoing certain treatment procedures.

How To Use

This medication is meant to be dissolved in the mouth. Do not swallow it. The usual dosing is one lozenge (troche) 5 times daily for no more than 14 days unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. Continue to use this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the medication too early may allow the infection to continue, resulting in a return of the infection.
