PASSION FLOWER (Passiflora incarnata) - ORAL

Passion flower has been used for nervousness and trouble sleeping (insomnia). Some herbal/diet supplement products have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives. How To Use
Take this product by mouth as directed. Follow all directions on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If your condition persists or worsens, or if you think you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate medical attention.
Side Effects
Drowsiness may occur. If this effect persists or worsens, contact your doctor promptly. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this product, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
If you have the following health problem, consult your doctor before using this product: allergies. This product may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcohol intake because it can intensify the dizziness or drowsiness effects of this medication. Liquid preparations of this product may contain sugar and/or alcohol. Caution is advised if you have diabetes, alcohol dependence or liver disease. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about the safe use of this product. Passion flower is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using this product. Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using this product is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Drug Interactions
Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use, especially of drowsiness-causing drugs such as: sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., benzodiazepines such as diazepam), drowsiness-causing antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine). Check the labels on all your medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products) because they may contain drowsiness-causing ingredients. Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of those products.
Overdose
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
