Summary
Shire Pharmaceuticals is a UK-based bio-pharmaceutical company founded in 1986 to meet several medical needs that had gone unmet. Shire Pharmaceuticals employees some of the most talented in the industry as they are one of the largest pharmaceutical companies world wide. They have created a division labeled Specialty Pharmaceuticals which focuses on treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, along with their Human Genetic Therapies division which focuses on treatment of single mutation genetic diseases such as Hunter syndrome and Fabry disease.
Adderall XR is comprised of mixed salts of a single entity amphetamine product, that was launched by Shire Pharmaceuticals in 2001. Adderall XR has been approved by the FDA to treat ADHD in both adults and children. Adderall XR is taken in capsule form.
Eligibility
Adderall XR Patient Assistance Program, a patient assistance program provided by Shire Pharmaceuticals, offers Adderall XR at no cost for one year to those who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based off of the following requirements:
You must be a citizen of the United States or its Territories.
You must not be eligible for or covered by any private, public, or Medicare Part D prescription coverage programs.
Your income must be less than or equal to 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline for the size of your household (see chart below).
Eligible patients will receive a pharmacy card that may be used once a month
