Summary
Baxter Healthcare Corporation was founded in 1931 as the first manufacturer of commercially prepared intravenous solutions and the first portable dialysis machine. Over the past 75 years they have focused on providing treatment for patients suffering from hemophilia, immune disorders, kidney disease, cancer, and trauma. They currently offer solutions through their worldwide research and development facilities in the medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology fields.
Aralast is a Alpha 1-proteinase inhibitor launched by Baxter Healthcare Corporation in 2002. Aralast has been approved by the FDA for treatment in patients with emphysema. Aralast is administered as an injection.
Eligibility
Ara-Assist Program , a patient assistance program provided by Baxter Healthcare Corporation , offers Aralast at no cost to those who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based off of the following requirements:
